In IVORY CROSSING, a broad black form enters from the left and stretches into a tapering horizontal gesture. Above and below, slender vertical marks punctuate an ivory surface whose subtle layers remain visible in the quiet spaces.
The title reads these encounters as a crossing: a meeting of directions, rather than a literal place. The composition holds strength and openness together, giving each mark room to be seen.
